You may be eligible for home health aide services if you need assistance with personal care while being treated at home by a nurse, physical therapist, and/or speech language pathologist. Home health aide services are provided on an intermittent basis. The services the aides provides will be determined by the nurse in accordance with your physician and based on your specific needs.

Home Health Aide is a certified but unlicensed health care worker as such; he/she may work only under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse. If there is no need for skilled care e.g. nursing/ therapist, the home health aide will not be ordered, Also if you already have the services of Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (D.A.D.S) paid provider usually you are not eligible for home health aide services if the provider is performing personal care services for you.
